Chris Clement and his partners (www.elliottautogroup.com) purchased the franchise rights for Toyota in Marshall, Texas in the summer of 2003. After acquiring land conveniently located on Highway 59 near I20, planning for the construction of a new modern facility began. Simultaneously Toyota launched Image USA, a nationwide initiative to upgrade, upsize and modernize Toyota dealerships. As a result of this initiative, Marshall Toyota went back to the drawing board to redesign building plans. Marshall Toyota was the first “Image USA” Toyota dealership in the USA, unfortunately this delayed their grand opening considerably. They moved into the facility in March 2005 even while the building was undergoing finishing touches (like exterior fascia). From 2005 to 2007 Marshall Toyota experienced tremendous growth while maintaining a national ranking in customer satisfaction.
